Broadband provider brsk, part of alt-net Netomnia, has announced that they are the first full fibre broadband provider in the UK to launch PLEIO, the IP streaming device from Netgem. The company are keen to announce that they can now offer a TV experience to rival other pay-TV operators such as Sky, Virgin and BT.
The PLEIO device delivers all of the major broadcast TV channels over Wi-Fi without the need for an aerial to be plugged in. brsk is branding the service as ‘BetterTV’, which will have a normal price of £10 per month, but for the launch period, will be available for £5/month until 31st January 2026. The device has Freely, which allows you to stream the usual ‘terrestrial TV’ services from the BBC/ITV/C4/C5, along with 150+ other channels. A full channel list is available here. It also has an app store so you can also access Disney+, Netflix etc or other pay for content, and there is also a library of games that can be played with a wireless controller.
